What began as sharing simple iPad doodles with friends grew into a small sticker business that allowed me to dabble in every facet of a business. From testing sticker paper quality and building my first website to experimenting with scrappy marketing tactics and shipping thousands of stickers from my bedroom, I loved every step of the process.

Although Luca by Design is no longer active, I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to create and share. This project kick-started the little entreprenurial fire in me and continues to remind me that sometimes you just need to go for it, even when you don't have all the answers!

I am far from a drawing expert, but COVID turned me into an avid iPad doodler. I spent countless hours recreating images on Adobe Fresco while listening to my favorite podcasts. A couple of friends mentioned that I should put the designs on Etsy or Redbubble, but I figured it would be more fun to learn how to make and print the stickers myself. So, off I went and ordered a bunch of sticker paper samples, set up a Cricut machine, and fell into a deep Youtube sticker making rabbit hole.

Through all of the trial and error, I eventually found my niche and learned how important it is to just get out there and test. Surprisingly, almost all my orders came from strangers who discovered my shop through free posts in random Facebook groups. Turns out people have a whole lot more trust in random online websites than I thought they would :)
